This week's Pubcast is brought to you by the word: Twixt
We talk our way from Burnout all the way to Dungeons and Dragons via Bayonetta, annoying cut scenes and David Carradine. Andrew learns what a dump stat is (we don’t think it sinked in to be honest), and we welcome David back as he admits to being trounced by a bunch of teenagers at a D&D tournament. Not only that but we discover that our talented independent game developer friend Jon Keatley has the ability to lie (he’s less like Data than we thought), it turns out naming an iPhone game carefully is quite important, and piracy ain’t what it seems... neither are Dave’s acapella skills. Edmund brings his unique perspective to bear on what it would mean to be the personification of war, we discuss the trouble with God of War and whether it’s all the fault of modern popular horror movies.
On an interesting note WWE: Smackdown vs Raw 2010 gets more coverage than it has probably ever had in its entire life mainly due to our special guest, the very talented Designer and Artist David Alex Pass. James wants Flick It! To F**k Off!, we can’t see the point of permanently visible hud’s, Andrew gets teary eyed over a bloody picture book, and we wonder if horror is driven by societal fears, and why Buffy was great/rubbish, depending on who you ask.
