The End is Here

The deadline has passed. Dragon Age 2 is now available in UK shops, though for some reason Amazon haven't dispatched my copy yet. One question remains: Did I manage the challenge?

Well, after five weeks of nothing but Dragon Age, taking in some 80+ hours of game play I certainly gave it my best. But was it enough?

Week 5: The Final Countdown

E-mail

With last week's disaster fresh in my mind as I hit the xbox on Monday night, minutes after posting the blog I revealed it to the world, I set about Awakening and spend the night defending the city from the evil Darkspawn and ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED! Amaranthine's Last Hope

With my illness still hanging around, not only did I not have a pubcast to edit, but my usual Tuesday and Wednesday plans didn't go ahead as normal either. I know what you're thinking, I bet James used that time to get some serious time in Dragon Age done.

Week 4: Burning Up

E-mail

With game 1 and the Darkspawn Chronicles done, I'll admit I was feeling cocky. Even with it being Thursday again before I got a chance to touch my Xbox. With it being a whole day off the Daily Grind I took the time to first of all play the demo of Dragon Age 2.

Week 3: The Slow Burn

E-mail

Monday night and back to Dragon Age. First session of the week and I complete it. With the Archdemon defeated, Alistair deals this final blow allowing his love to be proclaimed a hero. With new queen Anora, Gloria gives independance to the Magi Circle and agrees to head off with Zevran. Well that is until I start my Awakening game.

During the build up to the final battle I also manage to get Gloria to level 20. ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED. Archmage.

Week 2: The High Burn

E-mail

My last report ended on the Monday night despite me not publishing till Wednesday morning. Well there's a reason for this, I'm busy Tuesday and Wednesday nights and unlikely I'll ever get to play anything then. Well at least that's what I thought. Wednesday's movie night was cancelled as everyone had stuff come up, so I took advantage and got a few hours in but nothing major happened.

Thursday was an entirely different story. Thursday is my day off from the daily grind and I knew it'd be the tipping point for this challenge. All week I'd be preparing myself to spend the entire day in Thedas. Wow, I'd not prepared myself enough for this.
